This Masjid-i-Sharif is between Mecca and Taif. While our Prophet (saas) was returning from the conquest of Taif in the eighth year of the Hijra, he went into ihram for Umrah on the twelfth Wednesday of the month of Dhu al-Qa’ida. It is reported from our Prophet (saas) that seventy prophets from this blessed place wore ihram and performed umrah.
